R-Net EDI

From January 1996 until May of 1998 our President, Karl W. Palachuk, was Director of Information Technology at R-Net EDI. During that time, R-Net EDI developed a series of products and services for supplying EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to small and medium-sized retailers.

The EDI products included:

• Placing UPC catalogs online via the Internet and direct-dial to the R-Net Intranet. See the R-Net EDI web site for more information and access to the Demo catalog.

• R-Net Buyer: Software for retailers. Used to browse catalogs "offline," create Purchase Orders (POs), receive Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs), and keep track of all EDI traffic.

• R-Net Rep: Software for sales reps who visit several stores and represent one or more manufacturers. This is a version of the Buyer software built specifically for the needs of sales reps who need to place orders on behalf of several clients.

• R-Net Vendor: Software for manufacturers. Used to create UPC catalogs, create ASNs, receive POs, create Acknowledgements, and keep track of all EDI traffic.

• Completely revamped EDI Network based on Windows NT and Internet standards. Karl designed, built, and administered the EDI network, web sites, and overall system architecture.
